Recap: Jordan Beetdiggers vs. Hillcrest Huskies
The Jordan Beetdiggers posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Hillcrest 55-33. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jordan.
Tess Joseph continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Sara Newman, who scored ten points along with five assists and two steals.
Hillcrest lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Addison Back, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Back has scored all season. Kyli Carrell was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds.
Jordan pushed their record up to 5-9 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Hillcrest, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Jordan will head out on the road to challenge Stansbury at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Stansbury is ranked 109th, while Jordan is ranked 87th). As for Hillcrest, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cottonwood at 7:00 p.m.
