Softball Recap: Prestonsburg Blackcats vs. Pike County Central Hawks

Prestonsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pike County Central Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blackcats of the 13-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Hailey Cline made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Rachael Roberts was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Prestonsburg now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Pike County Central, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.
