Baseball Game Preview: Poland Seminary Bulldogs vs. Lakeview Bulldogs

Poland Seminary will head out on the road to face off against Lakeview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Poland Seminary is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Poland Seminary is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Salem on Friday as they made off with a 15-5 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lakeview posted their closest win since May 1, 2024 on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Girard. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Bulldogs have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Lakeview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Lantz, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, Lantz posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Brandon Toot also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Poland Seminary's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Lakeview, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Poland Seminary was able to grind out a solid victory over Lakeview when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 9-4. Will Poland Seminary repeat their success, or does Lakeview has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
