Soccer Game Preview: Wheeler County vs. Treutlen

The Wheeler County Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Treutlen Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheeler County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wheeler County fell victim to Montgomery County and their airtight defense back in March. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 4-0. That's two games in a row now that Wheeler County have lost by exactly four goals.

Meanwhile, Treutlen scored the most goals they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Bryan County by a score of 4-3. Treutlen's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Johnny Johnson and Nate Miller scored all three of Treutlen's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Wheeler County's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Treutlen, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Wheeler County was able to grind out a solid win over Treutlen in their previous matchup back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
