Football Game Preview: Merritt Island Christian Cougars vs. Real Life Christian Academy Raptors

The Merritt Island Christian Cougars will face off against the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Merritt Island Christian comes in on seven and Real Life Christian Academy on 11.

Merritt Island Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Florida School for the Deaf & Blind 42-6. The Cougars' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Merritt Island Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bode Handwork out in front who threw for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Emmerson Hahn was in the mix too, providing the Cougars with two scores.

Merritt Island Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Fisher Edalgo and Connor Angstadt.

Meanwhile, Real Life Christian Academy faced Bell Creek Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Raptors walked away with a 32-20 win over the Panthers. Those 32 points were actually the fewest the Raptors have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Merritt Island Christian's record now sits at 11-1. As for Real Life Christian Academy, their record is now 11-0.
