Basketball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Apollo Hawks, falling 87-58. The Coyotes lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 73-71 score last time.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Apollo, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Centennial won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Verrado at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Verrado likes a good challenge. As for Apollo, they will challenge Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
