The American Christian Academy Patriots lost against the Hillcrest Patriots back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. American Christian Academy took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hillcrest.
Despite the loss, American Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Davis Dare, who scored 20 points. Dare scored a full 43.5% of American Christian Academy's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Eric Hines, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds.
American Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Hillcrest, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
American Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Thomasville at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Thomasville is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Hillcrest won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Paul W. Bryant at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Paul W. Bryant presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hillcrest in Alabama (Paul W. Bryant is ranked eighth, while Hillcrest is ranked 44th).
