Volleyball Recap: Spring Hill Takes a Loss

Spring Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Eudora Cardinals. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Spring Hill started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 25-14, 25-16.

Kaliyah Phifer paced Spring Hill's offense, picking up 13 kills. Phifer got some help from Macie Metcalf and her 18 assists.

Spring Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Eudora, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Spring Hill has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against De Soto on the 18th. As for Eudora, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against West Franklin on the 18th.
