Basketball Game Preview: High Point Academy Grizzlies vs. Chesnee Eagles

High Point Academy is 3-0 against Chesnee since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The High Point Academy Grizzlies will be playing at home against the Chesnee Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for High Point Academy and ten for Chesnee.

On Saturday, High Point Academy had to suffer through a 63-19 loss at the hands of Clinton. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while the Red Devils are ranked 39th).

Meanwhile, Chesnee lost to Spartanburg Christian Academy on the road by a 47-29 margin on Friday. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 6-1 in the first quarter.

High Point Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Chesnee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

High Point Academy strolled past Chesnee when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 38-22. Does High Point Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chesnee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
