Basketball Recap: Graham Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Graham's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Jordan-Matthews Jets by a score of 48-40. The win was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Jordan-Matthews saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lizzie Alston posted 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Alston has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cassidy Graves, who had ten points.

Graham's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12. As for Jordan-Matthews, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-15.

Graham won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Graham has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Jordan-Matthews, they will challenge Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
