Baseball Recap: Sunnyside Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Sunnyside's offense. They fell just short of the Fresno Warriors by a score of 1-0 on Monday. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sunnyside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eyzec Parada, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Sunnyside has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Fresno, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Sunnyside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 18-2 defeat against Sierra Pacific on the 15th. As for Fresno, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-1 loss against Stockdale on the 14th.
