Volleyball Recap: Chambersburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cedar Cliff on Monday, Chambersburg came back down to earth. The Trojans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the State College Little Lions on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Little Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 20-25, 25-14, 25-18.

Kasey Moser paced Chambersburg's offense, picking up ten kills. Moser got some help from Ava Zeigler and her 32 assists. Finally, Riley Cramer kept Chambersburg's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Chambersburg dropped their record down to 9-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for State College, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Coming up, Chambersburg will face off against Waynesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for State College, after both having extra time off, they and Cedar Cliff will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
