Basketball Game Preview: Brownsboro Bears vs. North Lamar Panthers

The Brownsboro Bears will face off against the North Lamar Panthers on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Brownsboro comes in on five and North Lamar on 12.

Brownsboro is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over Spring Hill. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Panthers are ranked 643rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, North Lamar blew past Farmersville, posting a 57-27 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Brownsboro's win bumped their record up to 21-11. As for North Lamar, their victory bumped their record up to 24-9.

Brownsboro didn't have too much breathing room in their game against North Lamar in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 36-32 win.
