Softball Recap: Battlefield Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Battlefield had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mountain View Wildcats 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Olivia Morse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Battlefield's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Mountain View, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-3.

As of now, neither Battlefield nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
