Softball Recap: Parke Heritage Has No Trouble Against Crawfordsville

Parke Heritage won the last time they faced Crawfordsville and things went their way on Friday too. The Wolves were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over the Athenians.

Alexis McAmis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, Parke Heritage got a massive performance out of Paisley Hartman, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Hartman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Birkley Schelsky, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Parke Heritage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .537. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Parke Heritage's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Crawfordsville, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Looking ahead, Parke Heritage will face off against South Vermillion at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crawfordsville, they will take on Covington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
