Red Level gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past Greenville 17-4. This was payback for Red Level, who suffered an 11-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Connor Blackwell, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Tanner Whatley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Greenville dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
