            Illinois Math & Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight  loss. They fell  2-0 to the Joliet Central Steelmen. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing  2-1 to the Steelmen when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
 While Illinois Math & Science Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20,  25-19.
 Enza Ristic paced Illinois Math & Science Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Ristic were helped by Fiza Shaikh and  Naoimi Pathinvo, who contributed five assists each. Finally,  Kateryna Honchar kept Illinois Math & Science Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.
Illinois Math & Science Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-19-1. As for Joliet Central, their victory  ended  a  five-match drought at home  and  bumped them up to 8-21.
