Basketball Recap: Fayette Comes Up Short

Fayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Harrisburg Bulldogs and fell 75-43. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Fayette lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Blake Braden, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Payton Oeth was another key player, going 5-for-11 to rack up 10 points and five rebounds.

Fayette's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Harrisburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Fayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-62 loss against South Callaway on the 20th. Harrisburg has also already played their next contest (against Salisbury), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
