Volleyball Recap: South Effingham Mustangs vs. Camden County Wildcats
South Effingham had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Camden County Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.
South Effingham wouldn't go down easily and took Camden County into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 24-26, 26-24, 16-14.

Lauren Olson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 22 digs and two assists. Those 22 digs gave her a new career-high.
South Effingham was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They served one more ace than Camden County's also-impressive total of 13.
Despite the loss, Camden County had strong showings from Millie Mayerlen, who had 14 digs and three aces, and Grace Pratt, who had ten kills and five digs. Mayerlen is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.
South Effingham's record is now 34-10. As for Camden County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 18-12 record.
Coming up, South Effingham will take on Greenbrier at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Camden County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Tift County on the 4th.
