Basketball Recap: Martin County West Now 16-3 over Last 19 Games

With a playoff win on the line, Martin County West rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 47-40 victory over the Springfield Tigers. For the Mavericks, this counts as revenge for the 60-48 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Martin County West is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Springfield and nudges their season record down to 16-13.

As of now, neither Martin County West nor Springfield have any future games scheduled.
