 Hoover fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Worthington Kilbourne  on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves by a score of  4-3.
  Jack Andes was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits (he also only allowed one  walk).
 At the plate,  Mason Ashby made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases.  Matt Cervenak was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Hoover is on the road again  on Tuesday to play Justice at 9:00  p.m. Hoover is facing Justice at the right time seeing as Justice is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Worthington Kilbourne, they will square off against Rootstown at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
