Baseball Recap: Hawaii Prep Beats Kohala for Their Third Straight Win

Hawaii Prep entered their tilt with Kohala on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Cowboys. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 12-1 victory last Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Nishiki Iwai, who fired off six RBI, two triples, and three runs while going 5-for-5. That's the most triples he has posted since back in March of 2024. Kamea Leleiwi was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Iwai wasn't the only one making solid contact: Hawaii Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Hawaii Prep's record is now 9-2. As for Kohala, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Hawaii Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 victory against Pahoa on the 4th. Kohala does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
