University School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 71-64 to the Sullivan East Patriots. On the bright side, the 64- point performance marked the Buccaneers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Eli Hubbard was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 22 points and 24 boards for Sullivan East. Hubbard has become a key player for the Patriots: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least 15 points, but 0-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Issac Deel, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 18 points.

University School's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sullivan East, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5.

Coming up, University School will head out to challenge Chuckey-Doak at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sullivan East, they will be playing at home against Volunteer at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
