Basketball Game Preview: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Hurricane Tigers

Crimson Cliffs hasn't had much luck against Hurricane recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Hurricane Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Crimson Cliffs is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Monday. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dixie.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Josie Myers, who posted six points in addition to eight rebounds and five blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zee Brinagh, who earned eight points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Hurricane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-58 heartbreaker at the hands of Desert Hills.

Crimson Cliffs' loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Hurricane, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.

Crimson Cliffs beat Hurricane 51-41 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crimson Cliffs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
