Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cashmere). They put the hurt on the Wapato Wolves with a sharp 35-1 victory on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Mac Carlson made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Rylan Hatmaker was incredible, going 3-for-5 with five runs, seven RBI, and two triples. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. Braylon Rubio was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Cashmere always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
