Football Game Preview: Crossland Cavaliers vs. Douglass Eagles

Crossland is 0-8 against Douglass since October of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Cavaliers are taking a road trip to square off against the Eagles at 2:00 p.m.

Crossland's last matchup with Largo could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Saturday. The Cavaliers had to suffer through a 42-6 loss at the hands of the Lions. The Cavaliers were down 28-0 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Douglass never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Surrattsville 42-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Crossland now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Douglass, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Crossland took a serious blow against Douglass when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 44-0. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
