Basketball Recap: Eleva-Strum Comes Up Short

Eleva-Strum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Houston Hilltoppers and fell 77-48. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 452nd in Wisconsin, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 166th in Mississippi).

Eleva-Strum's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Houston, they moved to 8-10 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eleva-Strum will head out to challenge Osseo-Fairchild at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Houston, they will venture away from home to take on North Pontotoc at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
