Basketball Recap: Newell Irrigators vs. Wall Eagles

Newell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by the Wall Eagles 59-25. The Irrigators were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Faith Frink had an outrageously good game for Wall as she dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. Frink also grabbed seven steals, which is notable because Wall is undefeated when she posts at least three steals, but 7-8 otherwise. Karmyn Kjerstad was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Newell's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Wall, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Newell will be playing in front of their home fans against Timber Lake at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wall, they will face off against Bridgewater/Emery at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
