Sparrows Point had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Franklin on Thursday. Sparrows Point put the hurt on Franklin with a sharp 15-1 victory. The game marked the Pointers' most dominant win of the season so far.

Sparrows Point pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Franklin, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sparrows Point will head out to face off against Hereford at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on New Town at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. New Town will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Franklin surely won't give up without a fight.
