Newington barely beat New Britain the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Nor'easters were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Golden Hurricanes on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 back in April.

Newington never let New Britain on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-22.

Seng Singkhamlon paced Newington's offense, picking up 13 kills. Singkhamlon got some help from Tristan Gorman and his 27 assists. Singkhamlon was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Newington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for New Britain, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Newington will be playing at home against Windsor at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Britain, they will head out on the road to face off against Farmington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
