Basketball Recap: Glen Lake Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

After losing to Harbor Springs the last time they met, Glen Lake decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Glen Lake Lakers came out on top against the Harbor Springs Rams by a score of 71-63 on Wednesday. The victory was just business as usual for the Lakers, who after four games remain undefeated this season.

Glen Lake was led to victory by Jacob Plamondon and Benji Allen. Plamondon dropped a double-double on 21 points and 22 rebounds, while Allen went 12 of 19 on his way to 28 points and six assists. The matchup was Plamondon's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tobiah Bradford, who posted nine points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Glen Lake was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Glen Lake pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Harbor Springs, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glen Lake will take on Frankfort in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glen Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70.8 points per game this season. After both having extra time off, Harbor Springs and Sault Area will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Harbor Springs is facing Sault Area at the right time seeing as Sault Area is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
