Basketball Recap: Trinity Leadership Skates Past a Plus Academy with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Trinity Leadership's strategy against A Plus Academy on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Trinity Leadership Tigers blew the A Plus Academy Knights out of the water with a 49-11 final score. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Leading Trinity Leadership to victory were Ja'Lee Standley and Emani Taylor. Standley posted 19 points, while Taylor earned 18 points. Standley continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Trinity Leadership and bumps their season record up to 11-10. As for A Plus Academy, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Trinity Leadership Tigers duke it out with the Life Oak Cliff Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for A Plus Academy, they will square off against Young Women's Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th.
