Softball Recap: Waynesboro Comes Up Short

Waynesboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 29-19 to the Staunton Storm. Even if the Little Giants couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Waynesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Staunton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waynesboro will challenge Fluvanna County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Staunton, they will square off against Riverheads at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
