Football Game Preview: Las Vegas Wildcats vs. Silverado Skyhawks

The Las Vegas Wildcats will square off against the Silverado Skyhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Las Vegas is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Green Valley, who was ranked 25th at the time (Las Vegas was ranked 21st). Las Vegas fell 30-19 to Green Valley on Wednesday. The contest was a 12-12 toss-up at halftime, but the Wildcats couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-13, which was the final score in Silverado's tilt against Basic on Wednesday. The Skyhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Las Vegas' loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Silverado, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Everything came up roses for Las Vegas against Silverado when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 49-6 victory. Will Las Vegas repeat their success, or does Silverado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
