Baseball Game Preview: Excel Christian Warriors vs. North Tahoe Lakers

The Excel Christian Warriors will take on the North Tahoe Lakers in a tournament on Friday.

Excel Christian saw some tournament action on Thursday. They and Sierra Lutheran finished up their game with a 9-9 draw.

Meanwhile, North Tahoe took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. Everything went their way against Sierra Lutheran as North Tahoe made off with a 10-2 win.

Curtis Edmunds made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Edmunds was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 5-for-5. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

In other batting news, Brody Mitchell was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Keaton Mattson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI.

North Tahoe kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sierra Lutheran only managed seven hits.
