Volleyball Game Preview: Immaculate Conception Spartans vs. Gateway Gators

The Immaculate Conception Spartans will challenge the Gateway Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Immaculate Conception has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 13.

Immaculate Conception lost 3-0 to Lowell on Monday.

Immaculate Conception was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-9, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Gateway hadn't done well against Drew recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Gators were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dragons. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gators.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Gateway was: they took every set by at least 25 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Immaculate Conception's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Gateway, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
