Baseball Recap: North Polar Bears vs. Burncoat Patriots

North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Burncoat Patriots, falling 8-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-5 back in April.

Auguster Speight made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Jysaiah Morales-Cartagena also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

North's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Burncoat, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-8.

Coming up, North will be playing in front of their home fans against Assabet Valley RVT at 3:30 p.m. on the 12th. Burncoat has already played their next game (against Prouty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
