Volleyball Recap: Jackson Center Tigers vs. New Bremen Cardinals

Jackson Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Bremen Cardinals. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 25-9.

New Bremen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Charlotte Nelson led the charge by getting 14 assists and eight digs. Those eight digs gave Nelson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Annie Lefeld, who had ten digs and one assist.

Jackson Center's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for New Bremen, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson Center will head out to take on Houston at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Bremen, they will venture away from home to challenge Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
