Soccer Game Preview: Fort Myers vs. Immokalee

The Fort Myers Green Wave will take on the Immokalee Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Fort Myers is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Charlotte just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Fightin' Tarpons by a score of 1-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Green Wave couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Immokalee was forced to settle for a draw. They and Golden Gate finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw on Monday. The Indians' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Leonardo Conception and Dawensky Exulus scored both of Immokalee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Immokalee's draw makes their record 9-2-1 this season. As for Fort Myers, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-1.

Fort Myers skirted past Immokalee 2-1 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Fort Myers have another victory up their sleeve, or will Immokalee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
