Baseball Recap: Akron-Fairgrove Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Akron-Fairgrove's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Vassar Vulcans on Wednesday. The defeat leaves the Vikings still looking for their first win of the season.

Akron-Fairgrove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joel C., who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Akron-Fairgrove's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Vassar, they moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Akron-Fairgrove will face off against Dryden at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Vassar, they will challenge Bad Axe at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vulcans are facing the Hatchets at the right time seeing as the Hatchets are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
