Softball Game Preview: Christopher Cougars vs. Silver Creek Raiders

The Christopher Cougars are taking a road trip to take on the Silver Creek Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Christopher is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Christopher faced off against Prospect on Monday. Christopher came up short against Prospect, falling 13-6. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly seven runs.

Audrina Cabanlit made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Melissa Lugo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Silver Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to Lincoln.

Christopher's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Silver Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Christopher skirted past Silver Creek 6-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christopher since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
