Recap: Atkinson County Rebels vs. Berrien Rebels
Even though the Atkinson County Rebels have not done well against the Berrien Rebels recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Atkinson County walked away with a 69-57 win over Berrien. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Atkinson County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ja'Kari Northcutt out in front who scored 22 points. Kamari Moore was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Atkinson County now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Berrien, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atkinson County is on the road again on Friday and play against Jeff Davis at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. Jeff Davis comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Berrien, they will head out on the road to face off against Lanier County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
