Basketball Game Recap: Ringgold Redskins vs. Magnolia School of Excellence

Ringgold won the last time they faced Magnolia School of Excellence, and LaDaunte McCoy did his part to make sure it happened again. The stars were shining brightly for the Ringgold Redskins in a 78-61 win over Magnolia School of Excellence on Monday thanks in part to McCoy, who went 11 of 18 on his way to 28 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Keonce Moore, who posted eight points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-10. As for Magnolia School of Excellence, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Ringgold will take on Airline in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. After both having extra time off, Magnolia School of Excellence and Haughton will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
