Gavin Howard Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Miami-Yoder's Gavin Howard, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Saturday Howard rushed for 367 yards and six touchdowns on only eight carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 69 yards.

He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging two interceptions both of which were returned for touchdowns.
This year, Diaz has run in 17 touchdowns while averaging 98.1 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had four rushing touchdowns.

Thomas Griffin's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Thomas Griffin was instrumental in extending Hanover's winning streak to six on Saturday. Griffin picked up 93 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up 0.5 sacks and making eight total tackles.
This season, Griffin has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 37.4 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 7.13 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 22.5 rushing yards.

Mo Hussein's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his third-straight game with 146+ rushing yards. He made eight total tackles and defended a pass. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making eight total tackles and defending a pass.
This year, Hussein has averaged 10.6 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had six rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 12.

A Season-Best Performance from Tyler Decker Leads Hanover over Walsh
Tyler Decker produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hanover to the win on Saturday. Decker threw for 141 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. The effort also marked the most rushing yards (-8) he has had since back in September of 2023. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up 0.5 sacks and made eight total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
