Basketball Recap: Berean Baptist Academy Skates Past Fayetteville Christian with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Berean Baptist Academy over Fayetteville Christian in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Berean Baptist Academy Bulldogs blew the Fayetteville Christian Warriors out of the water with a 77-40 final score. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Berean Baptist Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Justin Caldwell, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine boards. Caldwell's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Sanders, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine assists.

Berean Baptist Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fayetteville Christian only racked up one assist.

Despite the loss, Fayetteville Christian still got an impressive performance from Ethan Durgadin, who went 7 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Kummer, who posted 12 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Berean Baptist Academy and bumps their season record up to 13-9. As for Fayetteville Christian, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-8.

As for Fayetteville Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 88-43 loss against Freedom Christian Academy on the 14th.
