Football Game Preview: Elbert Bulldogs vs. South Park Burros

Elbert is 6-1 against South Park since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Burros at 7:00 p.m. Elbert is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Elbert is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat St. Mary's 52-21. Considering the Bulldogs have won three matchups by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Elbert didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jeremiah LaChausse and Eli Cornell. LaChausse is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 54-8, which was the final score in South Park's tilt against Byers on Saturday. The Burros haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

South Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Elbert, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Elbert against South Park when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 72-8 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Burros have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
