Basketball Recap: Republic Comes Up Short

If Republic was feeling good fresh off their 75-14 takedown of Joplin last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Republic Tigers took a 44-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kickapoo Chiefs on Monday. The Tigers have struggled against the Chiefs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Republic's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Kickapoo, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
