Basketball Recap: Shelbyville Takes a Loss

Shelbyville lost against St. Anthony back in February of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Shelbyville Rams fell 57-45 to the St. Anthony Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 82nd).

Shelbyville has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season. As for St. Anthony, their win bumped their record up to 24-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shelbyville will head out to face off against Taylorville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Anthony, they will head out on the road to square off against Altamont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
