Basketball Recap: Caney Creek Comes Up Short

Caney Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 57-45 to the Conroe Tigers. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Caney Creek's record now sits at 4-16. As for Conroe, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.

Caney Creek is taking a road trip to take on Oak Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Conroe, they will challenge The Woodlands at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Woodlands knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Conroe likes a good challenge.
