Volleyball Recap: Pine Forest Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Pine Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Jack Britt Buccaneers. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Pine Forest started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 26-24, 25-13, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Pine Forest saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Angeliz Matos had 12 digs. Matos has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Pine Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Jack Britt, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Pine Forest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Lumberton on the 22nd. As for Jack Britt, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against St. Pauls on the 22nd.
